Dandylicious Creates Blogiversary!

Hello!
Welcome to my blog, and my blogiversary blog hop!  My blog is just little, turning one and what a great year of crafting, and crafting firsts it has been!

First I have to mention the talented blogger that inspired me to start blogging, (and happens to be one of the stops today!)  CanadianNickel Scrapn.  I found Nicole's blog while searching Canadian crafting sites and was hooked on the whole blog idea instantly!  I played around with blogger for a few weeks, and with the help from several friends Dandylicious Creates was ready for public viewing!

The next huge, HUGE first, is incredible!! Being published in the best scrapbooking magazine ever!!!, Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine!  While attending the scrapbook carnival here in Calgary, I submitted a layout for a kids cancer fundraiser and was absolutely floored when I was selected to be published in the Spring 2011 issue.  Seriously started crying when they announced my layout, I just couldn't believe it!  I was very proud!, so proud I purchased 10 copies of that issue! LOL!  Not sure if I will top this achievement, but I will sure try!

The rest of the year was spent playing along on blog hops for the first time, scrapbook and card challenges, entering the Cricut world, meeting numerous talented crafters, and even co-hosting and hosting my own blog hops, and of course every crafters new obsession: PINTEREST!!!! and currently in the process of applying for a design team spot with Creative Memories!. 

It's going to be hard to top this past year so I have set some crafting goals for myself, it is a very long list, but  one you can all help with!  As my blog is entering year two, I would like to reach 200 followers before the end of 2011!  Spread the word please! ;)

OK, time for some crafts!  For my blogiversary I had started numerous projects, was half way through and they just didn't do a "blogiversary" theme justice!  I had complete creative block!  So I told hubby, he of course laughed at me, but then had the greatest idea!  Hubby very cheek-ily says what about OUR honeymoon album!!!...Hmmm, the man was on to something!  One of the many things on my crafting list for the next year is to finally, FINALLY complete my wedding and honeymoon album, AND it will be a 5 yr anniversary gift for the hubby next September!

So to start, I have decided to make a custom album cover for our honeymoon album, since it was a trip of a lifetime!  Here is the design that will be printed right into the fabric of the album.

and now for the back!  Very excited with the back!  I used the names of all the cities and countries in a word art overlay, I love making word art overlays!!! LOL  Here it is!

This is going to be a huge on going project, on our honeymoon I took over 3,000 photos, visited 6 countries, and 11 cities!...I am going to guess 3 albums???
